Romantic, Very Private, Waterfront Cabin

Very Romantic Cabin in the Woods, on the Water, with Ultimate Privacy - you have no neighbors - not next door, not across the lake, none. All you will see are ducks, birds, loons and an occasional canoe gliding by. Maybe a moose if you are lucky!

The cabin sits right over the outlet of the lake, 500' of private waterfront with dock and boathouse. 2 bedrooms each have one double bed. There is one bath (shower only), a fireplace, full kitchen, grill, wifi, 40" flat screen for netflix movies (but no cable). Comes with 4 good kayaks for summer, 2 sets snowshoes in winter. Accommodates 4 persons max.

Kayak 10 minutes to the right, you are on beautiful Piseco Lake. Kayak 30 minutes to the left to a remote wilderness lake with no houses on it. There is lots of natural wild shoreline and wildlife to explore from the water, right out your front door! Boathouse provides very easy access to the kayaks, no need to carry them anywhere. Most of the waterfront is a little too shallow to swim, except for one deep swimming hole, but you can kayak to the lake and enjoy the clear water and sandy bottom of Lake Piseco. Pull up on one of the many small islands and swim from there.

Winter activities include snowshoeing, hiking, and some of the best snowmobiling in the East! Rentals and lessons available.

This is a no parties, no smoking, no pets, allergy sensitive household. No more than 4 persons here at any time. We do our best to keep a pristine home, we are sure even the most discerning guests will be very very happy here. We are willing to share this with responsible and considerate guests.

Midweek and in the "off" season we offer reduced rates for couples, and GREAT return guest rates. It is beautiful here year round. Fall is stunning with the foliage. This is an amazing spot in Winter, with all the windows a snowstorm is spectacular.  

November 2012 we watched a bald eagle swoop down onto the lake and try to grab a merganser duck for lunch - he dropped him much to our relief - but it was a spectacular sight!
